Immortal Artist New Orleans July Show

Due to the current rain and increasing chances of rain and storms through the afternoon and evening, we have made the decision to  not hold tonight's art show. Unfortunately we have also decided to close down tomorrows rain date due to an even higher prediction of rain throughout Sunday.

Our apologies but its hard to hold an outdoor show in the rain.

We will post new dates for next months show and encourage artists who were showing their work to resubmit for August. 

The studio itself, because it is indoors, will remain open this evening for anyone who does not get this message and stops by despite the weather conditions.

Immortal Artist is a monthly casual art event sponsored by Grey Cross Studios. It gives new artists a chance to be seen and take a one on one approach to selling their work directly with potential buyers. It also allows them to be critiqued by other artists and professionals in the art field. The objective is to not just place art in front of the buyer but to talk about that art, the inspiration behind it and the tale of what makes each of us a unique artist.

Immortal Artist also includes a monthly artists meet and greet where New Orleans artists can come, visit, and watch insightful demonstrations of art techniques and exchange ideas on a casual basis. As artists, we are stronger unified than alone.

We also offer a monthly artists material exchange. Grey Cross Studios collects items and supplies that can be taken by artists. Bring an item or two for exchange and take away some needed art supplies for your own use.

Originally a 24x48 mixed media painting I did on canvas not very long ago. New Addition to my latest series of abstracts.. Exploring aspects such as color and geometrical shapes. Much aspirations to artists such as Willem De Kooning, Hans Hoffman and Agnes Martin.

This is an acrylic and pen piece that utilizes some Hopi symbolism and includes some dream characters that I managed to snatch from the realm.  It's just fraught with significance.
