ARTISTS PORTFOLIO
NOTES ON THIS ARTIST:
I don't usually care for anthropomorphic art. It just doesn't appeal to me as an art lover and seems very cliche these days. But Julian Quaye's work goes far beyond animals dressed like humans. He enters a surrealism that brings the pieces to life. His choice of backgrounds and stylized items that accompany each of his portraits is unique and involves the viewer in a whole new level of curiosity about each figure portrayed. "Jonas the tattooed Caledonian whaler" is my particular favorite.
Please leave this artist a note here if you like their work.
