NOTES ON THIS ARTIST:
Its funny, with all the artists out there who focus on extreme gore, skeletons and ghoulish nightmare scenes, I still don't find them half as creepy and skin crawling as some of Guy Reid's sculpture work. I don't mean this as an insult. In fact just the opposite. Sometimes art can hit us in that uncomfortable zone where its too real and thus turns surreal. For a sculptor to be able to evoke that kind of reaction just through a photograph, I can only imagine what seeing his work in person is like.
